About Us
Fiona has
been working in the Public and Private Sector of the Outdoor Industry for 25 years and has worked with people from all walks of life and all stages of life!
Fiona’s experience, qualifications, personality and zest for mountain life, leave her well placed to ensure that you have an exhilarating, informative and memorable time in the mountains.
As an International Mountain Leader she has been “trained and assessed to the exacting requirements of the internationally respected qualification”. It is a professional mountaineering qualification which is accepted outside the country of origin. (www.baiml.org).
She is also a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor, BASI downhill ski Instructor and RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor. She has led walks, expeditions and treks, on a freelance basis to mountain ranges of Peru and the Alps.
In following her personal passion for the mountains she has, walked, trekked, climbed or skied extensively through-out the major mountain ranges of the world, including The Alps, Norway, Slovenia, The Himalaya, South America, Tasmania, New Zealand, Canada, Corsica and Cuba.
Nearer to home Fiona is finishing off her quest to finish a round of the Munros, is steadily picking off a few 4000m Alpine Peaks each year and continues to explore new mountain ranges.
Her most memorable recent trips have been Ski touring in the Cairngorms, The traverse of GR20 on Corsica including the highest summits and Munro Bagging in Glen Affric Scotland.
Mountain Sojourns is more than Hillwalking, Trekking and Nordic Walking business, it is a reflection of Fiona’s life long, passion for the mountains and a healthy lifestyle. A passion which is infectious!
